We had a fantastic day on 16th March for Lá Glas (The Day of the Green), ahead of the national holiday of St. Patrick's Day. We celebrated all things Irish with music, song, dance, poetry. We had performances from 3rd & 4th Class on the tin whistle, Junior & Senior Infants songs and Ms. Cormican on the traditional Irish flute while her friend played bodhrán, mandolin & guitar. Children from each class were awarded 'Gaeilgeoir na Seachtaine' for making an extra special effort to speak our native language especially for Seachtain na Gaeilge (Irish Week).
