Our school was honoured to be visited by delegates from the Israel Ministry of Education and the Brookdale Institute today while on their study tour of Ireland. They spoke with Ms. Cormican about the three key areas of current importance to their Ministry - inclusion of children with disabilities, efforts to close gaps between populations within the education system, and the integration of social, personal, health education into the school day.
They were delighted to hear about the opening of our autism classes next year, and asked questions about how the integration of our autistic students would work in practice, as well as the new National Framework of the Irish Curriculum which has Wellbeing as one of its key areas of learning. The delegation were off to the visit Minister Norma Foley in our Department of Education after Stratford National School. We wish them well on the rest of their study tour and visit to Ireland!
