Global Goals for Sustainable Development
In 5th and 6th Class, we have been doing a project based on the 'Global Goals for Sustainable Development'.
In 2015, world leaders agreed to 17 goals for a better world by 2030. These goals have the power to end poverty, fight inequality and stop climate change. Guided by the goals, we must work together to build a better future for everyone.
Based on this, we organised ourselves into groups. Each group drew a 'Global Goals' town, including as many innovative ideas as possible to achieve and promote the aims set out by the Global Goals. Our 'towns' were then joined together to create a 'Global Goals City'.
We had very interesting discussions about our role as global citizens and brainstormed ideas of how we can help to make more sustainable choices in our lives to help achieve the targets set out in the Global Goals.
Below, please look at the global goals and read our ideas as to how we can make sustainable choices.
