We are hoping all those April showers will bring May flowers.
We painted hyacinths this week in art class and we sowed some seeds at the front entrance. We are hoping they will grow soon and add some colour to our school yard.
This weeks theme is the Post Office. We talked a lot about the role of the post office and the journey of a letter. We decided to make cards for each other. We decorated the cards and wrote positive messages to each other. On Tuesday we posted them in the post box beside our school. The students were very excited to receive their cards.
This week we have been learning about Weight and Forces. We had four stations with different activities at each, including a station using our new school iPads.
We estimated and weighed a range of classroom objects, using a variety of measurement instruments, such as a traditional weighing scales, a digital scales and a spring balance.
It was great to take part in active learning activities and explore Weight and Forces!
This week we looked at the work of Georgia O’Keefe. We looked closely at the different shades of colour in in Georgia’s Red Poppies. We were inspired to create our own paintings.
Spring is in the air and inspired us to make these bright and cheerful pastel and watercolour paintings!
